Covers by their very nature, and in general, are disastrous, seriously. Most covers do nothing to improve upon, or at the very least equally contend with, the original song of which they are filling in for. But then every once in a while there is an exception. Birdy’s cover of Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love” is remarkable, wonderful, and worth you giving it a listen.
